Having experienced success with its install projectors, JVC has now entered the European install screen category with the Xiview LT-42WX70. This 42in full HD super slim (44mm uniform) model is lightweight (12.5kg), has a full colour management system, RS232 and discrete IR controls.
JVC says, the 50,000:1 contrast ratio monitor features expanded colour space capacity encompassing 100% of HDTV broadcasting’s (sRGB.904) colour space and a coverage rate of 96 percent for Adobe RGB — a colour space for still photographs taken on high-definition digital SLR cameras — to provide accurate reproduction of both video and still photographs.
The monitor features 52 storable picture-quality adjustment properties for adjusting both still and video images source-by-source. JVC adds that the latest version of its Dynapix HD Picture Engine is on board with 12-bit (x RGB = 36-bit) for accurate and natural colours. The Real Bit Driver processes in 12-bit, and so up-converts 8-bit HD broadcasting and DVD signals or 10-bit Blu-ray signals, into 12-bit Deep Colour signals to achieve smoother gradation.
